Daniel Wopperer, MD, FACR

Dr. Dan Wopperer is a retired physician and medical illustrator, now producing oil landscapes on panel and canvas as well as other styles of representational art. His illustrations appear in textbooks and articles in libraries around the world. Dan has also produced many corporate logo designs over 4 decades. He has recently exhibited new works at The Oxford Center for the Arts in North Carolina and has an upcoming exhibition in Pittsburgh, PA.

Mainly self-taught, he cites influences including Leonardo DaVinci, Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt, all 3 generations of Wyeths, Roger Dean, teacher V. Roger Lalli and mentor and teacher Richard Schmid.

He also works as a musician/composer, bonsai artist/instructor and cinematographer. He lives with his wife Christy in Wake Forest, NC and is the proud father of three lovely daughters, Coley, Jan and Erin.
